Bridgedales!! Best sock out!! Tried all sorts and found the Bridgedales were the best, for me anyway.

I get my Bridgedales off a guy on Trade Me (username tonyconnolly). He's in Hastings.
Heaps cheaper than in retail shops.

Everytime I drive past Norsewood I go into the Norsewear shop and get the long hunter and thermal type - not the traditional ones, I find them too ropey

Bought about 10 pairs 20 years back and another 8 pairs a couple years ago - still going well

I've heard of waterproof socks and they looked pretty darn good, can't remember the brand, might be a good idea to look into!
umm aren't they also called "gumboots".

I have recently been wearing socks with a 70% merino blend. Bridgedale, Smartwool, and just got some Lorpens. All are good if a little expensive. Had a really good run out of the Warehouse NATO brand too.
Got given a pair of toe socks recently too. The jury is still out on that one. They actually feel pretty good once you're used to them but they look a bit creepy.

    That is just plain weird.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Yeah. But I suppose mitten wearers thought that about gloves when they were first made too?

Get mine from the red shed. The way I wear out socks on carpet and concrete, it ain't worth spending money on good ones. Look at that. ain't really isn't a word
