No doubt, but that's the joy of paracord wrapping I suppose, if it gets too manly I can rip it off and rewrap it.

Haven't got my scales here but I imagine it weighs approx the same as a Mercator, hopefully retains an edge a little longer and is a bit more solid. And doesn't rust up as much.

more of a blue jean.....got old knife with dodgy handle and hacked up hunk of pine to suit my hands which at that stage were bit dodgy from RSI (fish filleting) it works a treat and usually gets call up to carve the family roast mutton.

oil it every time you get home,
grind on my general purpose was pretty uneven

I find every time you buy a new knife you have to show it a bit of love n sharpen it to your tastes

Yeah, I have one of those little hikers, they are tough little blades, meant more as a back up to a main blade than as a main do everything blade I believe, Mr Baker is also making a bigger version as they have proved to be quite popular die to the weight/price point, they will do in a pinch as your main knife though and will but the weight down, essentially the same blade as in a peasant blade, it's a high carbon blade, and if stropped well will both take and hold a fine edge, it does not actually have one of Svords very fine convex edges but, as due to the price he just grinds them flat and sharp.
Only thing is it will rust but a lick of oil or fat will fix that, and a dunk in a river should clean up the cord, or you could rewrap it when you get back, pracord is pretty cheap.
For mine I took a file to the very start of the blade where it joins the handle as mine was putting pressure on my finger there, was a siimple fix.
Svord makes good blades, some don't like the finish, and to be fair they are a tad rough, but with a bit of care thy make very good blades and those who dismiss them out of hand are ignorant and unpatriotic as Svords are kiwi made.

Kiwi made doesn't mean quality.

Never liked the look or feel of them myself, a good knife will stay sharp for at least three deer and take a edge off your leather belt, no need for a steel. Ps I hate steels.

Got around to weighing this little knife, 67 grams in sheath, 15 grams lighter than a Mercator! And better steel. I like it

well that's all that matters then

Got rid of our Svords and switched to Swibo. Nice edge and no oiling.
