I thought I would buy Swazi gear again after this virus thing, support NZ made and all. That article makes me think hard about doing that. Maybe it's better to support a company like First Lite who're associated with the Meat Eater show which has a positive influence on the general public for all hunters. Something for me to think about.
Im not out to sink him, there is no way we can do that.
But if he notices a slump in sales then I will be happy.

Although, if he were to go broke due to a boycot of his brand then I would loose no sleep and it would be his just deserts to loose something that he did not want to loose.

Also, fuck him and his polar fleece.

By that logic we should only purchase products if the people creating them (or who are at the helm of the companies that manufacture them) hold values and beliefs similar to ours? Good luck finding the gear you need, if it can only be made by people who think just like you!

While we're at it, we may as well quit drinking beer; stop purchasing mass manufactured clothing; stop eating chocolate; stop purchasing ammunition and firearms (do you think Beretta, Colt, and other long-standing arms companies have ever given a toss about the wellbeing of human beings?)

Davey's opinions and personal beliefs have no bearing on the utility (or lackthereof) of his products. And isn't that the whole point of purchasing something? Because you like the product, or believe it'll add value to your life?

The whole point is it's horrendously expensive for what is in effect shredded milk bottles. Does it count as a boycott if you weren't going to buy anything anyway? Add in moving production to Thailand and throwing us under the bus and you get tripple cnut points.

    That's a good point.

Didn't realize he moved production to Thailand. Yes, I agree, it's somewhat overpriced (what clothing isn't these days?)

So you've never liked his products to begin with? It's a losing battle for Davey then.

I've never bought or owned any Swazi gear.

The key thing to remember is that prior to 15th March 2019, the owner of the company hadn't said "boo" (at least to my knowledge) about anything regarding ownership of semi-automatic centrefire rifles. How he suddenly found his voice after last year's tragedy suggests that this a person who puts profit before principle.

Won't buy swazi, sounds like spasi.

That said ... I don't really want to know the answer ... how morally pure is the average Chinese labour concentration camp factory Kommandant?

I buy Swazi because it lasts.
I also every year have family buy me H&F vouchers for birthdays and Xmas.
I spend them and I guess most like me do.
How many of you were upset when defense force stopped buying from a NZ manufacturer?.
