My favourite item would be my stainless cutlery set. I bought 5 of them but after lending them out I have only one complete set left. The metal is thick enough that it maintains its shape. The knife actually cuts. When I am cooking up a big brew of grub for a large group I can turn it into a long handled spoon. I add in a teaspoon too.

Also I take a 400mmx400mm microfibre cloth for a towel. There isn't a lot of me and it will dry me off after a bath/swim/shower/dunk.

Looks very similar to NZDF KFS set. I think I still have mine somewhere...

From memory these were Hercules brand from Brazil. I haven't been able to find any more either.

A small ziplock bag with a polipad/pre-soaped scouring pad in it to wash my dishes - chuck it out each trip and start anew - also really good at getting pine sap off your hands but hard on the skin

Thats really interesting. I only ever take in a spoon. It does everything for me. If I need a knife, I use my hunting one. Just a spoon can pretty much do everything though. Mines a light titanium one. I don't carry anything I don't need.

As the years start to stack up and the body is pretty stuffed I'm starting to do the same.

I would say a photo of the wife tucked away however it is not macho to mention here so I will have to say insulation tape is my friend. Depending on the type of trip I try to get away with just using a spoon and "heat and eat" meals like pasta or Kaweka Meals type food that can be eaten from the packet. That way I only use one pot to heat my meal/s, dirty 1 spoon and no other dishes to clean. Use the hot water for a brew and wash the spoon in.
Ziplock bags are great for packing the days food/radios/wallet etc in as are the drybags for keeping gear dry as already mentioned.
I always carry my wallet or some form of ID. You never know when your number is up and when you will be found

4.5km of pink ribbon. I use it to tie to every second tree everywhere I go. So I don't get lost. It also makes the bush look so much prettier.

I have always wondered whose the pink ribbons were. Mine are the Mauve ones
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
