For me,the most important piece of gear would have to be a pregnant test kit. The first two days out on the hill I'm totally rooted and believe me by the third day I get a little worried of my condition. On the fourth day I take the test,if clear I carry on,if not I pack it in.One must look after themselves and more so if one is prone to getting totally rooted while out in the scrub.

I think he means to fold the packet down, I make sure no air in top fold and rest for the 10 minutes upside down, just like to keep them as warm as possible.

    Cheers

I rehydrate mine for an hour or so then sit it in a pot of simmering water for 10-15min. Use the water to clean my spoon and make a cuppa

Mine would be 'Replace' electrolyte sports drink. I used to get bad leg cramps after a hard day on the hill but I dont if I have a drink of this when I return to camp in the evening.

Roy would a couple of paper clips work instead of a clothes peg? I usually keep a couple in my bum bag...easy to bend thin wire that weighs nothing and may be useful one day!

I wedge a couple of pairs of disposable gloves in one of those yellow plastic containers you get inside a kinder egg and put one in my bag and one in my pocket. They come in handy for when your dis assembling what you have shot and stop your hands from stinking of guts.

The other thing I have always got with me is a 2m length of cord tied in a loop. I have uses it for a multitude of things but its really handy when you are on foot for carrying rabbits.
