    Tent Recommendations

    Hi all,

On the lookout for a new 4 person tent. Something that average sized humans can move about inside of reasonably comfortably, so probably no dome tents. Basically for a small family.

Budget - would rather not spend more than $1000 but understand they’re not typically that cheap so.

    Cheers

Packable I want to say. Feel like roof top tents etc aren’t toddler/child friendly.

Coleman dome tents are the ducks nuts for family.we have two room jobbie and really rate it.big main room and nearly as big vestibule room. We had bigger version earlier on with two kids but farmed them out into wee pup tents on Thier own quickly... Mum n dad time much easier without little ears close by!!!

I saw a Oz tent on Facebook market place a couple of days ago, I have a smaller one I use and it's the best tent I've owned for camping next to car, super good water proof base and super quick set up so you can get back to the kids!

Little over the budget but it’s inflatable. Zempire equivalent is a bit steep. I will take a look at Coleman.

    Coleman's instant up black out.
Easy to put up and can stand up in them.

We have an older model dome tent that we used when kids were 5-10yr olds. Only used 5 or 6 times. Been in storage for past 10+ years. $50 it’s yours if you can arrange pick up. We are in Taupō
