I really rate it for the sale price of $100 or something I paid and have definitely used it in 3 seasons but just don’t feel like it is the 4 season bag it claims to be. (About same size as the pic of a bag bush bashed put up)
mountain warehouse has some excellent gear for the price.

I've got a Katabatic quilt, it's awesome and packs down very small (I got the Alsek 22f ~ -5.5C), their summer one would pack down/weigh even less/smaller.

    I've linked a summer one.

    Cheers

I brought a Roman Palm IV a few years back. nice and small. only rated down to +5C. One of my mates had one before me but he finds it a bit short, he's well over 6' and I'm not so if to does get cool I can use the hood.

I use a Macpac Dragonfly 400 for everything except winter, has been great so far & at 730gms is almost a kilo lighter than my winter bag!

I bought a Exped from here - and a bunch of other gear also. Pricing is very good, and delivery not at all shabby.

If you would consider a quilt then have a look at a One Planet Quest Pro. About 500gms and 800 loft down
Last pricing I saw was $367 from Southern Adventure in Invercargill (FB)
I haven’t got one but I do have (2) One Planet bags and think they are good value, I can check it out before I buy and still support local guy

I mostly stay in DoC huts (tramper) and during summer I just use a single fitted sheet

I can’t remember what the temp rating is but I’ve used it in the Oamaru valley in a tent in the middle of winter and I wasn’t cold.

On the advice from an old hunting cobber I have just bought a EXPED Winter-lite down bag x-Bivouac Sports $525 and it looks perfect, one sleep in it so far very comfy & warm and with a silk liner will be the dux nuts...some really good points, good collar to keep the warmth in, can fit a pillow into the hood [inflatable] and luminous buttons on the zips, rated -5, carry-bag and great compression sac supplied...bring on winter...

I got the Kiwiultralight quilt. Just like the enlightened equipment one above but made in Nelson nz. Really good service and delivery. I got the hottest one it’s bloody warm can use on the mountain in winter. Very small and light.

They have some other good kit too.
