On a more serious note. There was a website that @stug posted a while back? I think there was some issue with NZ Lowa making a fuss, but they I think you could still get other brands in.

You can buy Lowas from My Hunting Shop as shown on that link. My boss got some Tibets a month ago (landed for about $370NZD) and I have some Wendelsteins on the way. Even if you get stung for GST and Customs charges they are still cheaper than NZ prices.

The best boots to buy are ones that fit your feet well.

My best experience has been with LaSportiva, and pretty good with Scarpa too. Haven't tried Lowa.

Both my son and myself brought Lowa Z6 and they are great to wear but boy are they slippery on all ground.
We contacted Lowa and they said yes they have had issues with them.

Been happy with my Lowa Tibet's. They aren't a alpine winter boot though, getting cold toes on the snow after a few hours

I have had my current pair of Lowa tibets for ages. They are as said pretty comfortable and fit well but jeez they are hopeless regarding traction, especially on the wet coast.

I only wear them when planning to be above the bush line now.

Got a pair of Salomons that I wear for everything else. Not a bad boot. Just not as waterproof as I would like.
Also have a 100 dollar pair of Hikers? That I wear for quick little hunts near home. If the tibets had soles like the hikers they would be awesome. Probably have to re-sole them once a year but.
