Not for whilst hunting but I like to store my bolts unlocked,

I saw a friend with a round piece of wood, maybe 50mm, with a 20mm hole in the centre and a 20mm slot that ran from centre to outside.

Lets you slip the bolt into the wooden piece and twist the bolt to release the pressure on the spring.

Seconds to undo and just as simple, fast and painless to put back to normal.
