Buy Ashley and cut them dow. Spent day in them cutting firewood. Surprised how comfortable they were in thick woollen sox. Just bought 3 pair Bullers but might change my mind .

Have a look at the Boonies Kaimai.

I have wide feet and these fit perfectly, whereas others have been problematic with width.

I've worn these for days on end, hunting, and been very happy. The neoprene inner works very well and dries quickly overnight when fording rivers and creeks all day. Wore these in southern winter conditions and got wet but not cold.

These do provide good ankle support, but they aren't a proper alpine boot by any means. I use them in typical N Island muddy native and scrub hunting.

Scarpa. You should be able to find a pair for around that price. I recommend them.

I have pair of Irish setters that don't cramp my feet up too much.
