    Wind meter - sky watch xplorer 1

    This neat little unit just arrived.
    Cost $75 shipped from kite sports which is a pretty good deal.
    Only negative is you need a screw driver to change the battery which could be a pain in the back of the ranges.
    Otherwise pretty cool

    Yes they work well and take up very little room

    There's an old saying " you can't manage something if you haven' t measured it "

    And it certainly takes the guesswork out of measuring wind speed, air temp and relative/absolute baro pressure.

    I've not long got the explorer 4 on 7mmsaum's recommendation. It also measures absolute pressure.
