What can you tell us about that beaut?
It was a general shape copy from one of Craigc's collection. drew plan and sent it to John, Cant remember the steel, I have been told.....many times and still cant remember LOL, at the end of the day it works, i think i asked for a higher carbon steel instead of stainless. The timber is unknown, @Tahr may remember or John if he comes on. It is a really nice knife to use, I do steel it out in the field when needed, when it needs a tong up i use the lansky system and yes a leather strop. Prob make you knife fellas kringe but it works.

Using a steel is fine on the carbon steels like L6, O1 etc. Its the hard supersteels where you will strike trouble or find a steel ineffective.

Totally disagree, we found the fine steel really efective in stuffing the edge of the Elmax test knife!!!

What about the little ceramic sharpeners

If yiu cant sharpen that steel easily in the field then soon enough might end up being a PITA surely
