I have no idea Toby but I suspect so. The reasons lead was banned in the first place is IMO unsubstantiated crap. More ducks apparently die of starvation than anything, I reckon.
The west coast, apart from the odd tidal lagoon, has fuck all dabbling water and I fail to see how lead is a threat anyway due to our rainfall cleaning things up all the time.
If you shoot ponds there should be fuck all shot going in them if your shooting properly anyway. I really hate steel as it limits your shooting ability.

It would be nice if they would sort out a summer parrie season for north auckland.
There are a number of pissed off farmers now because they have been told in the last couple of years they can't get a permit for control because there is now a (singular) weekend in summer to shoot parries! Not much use if you have a few hundred parries and mallards turning up eating the maize feed.
