I have no idea Toby but I suspect so. The reasons lead was banned in the first place is IMO unsubstantiated crap. More ducks apparently die of starvation than anything, I reckon.
The west coast, apart from the odd tidal lagoon, has fuck all dabbling water and I fail to see how lead is a threat anyway due to our rainfall cleaning things up all the time.
If you shoot ponds there should be fuck all shot going in them if your shooting properly anyway. I really hate steel as it limits your shooting ability.

It would be nice if they would sort out a summer parrie season for north auckland.
There are a number of pissed off farmers now because they have been told in the last couple of years they can't get a permit for control because there is now a (singular) weekend in summer to shoot parries! Not much use if you have a few hundred parries and mallards turning up eating the maize feed.

Hmmm Barefoot. I guess the "my land, I will do what I want" approach probably doesn't cut it but that is my view. I have shot parries over my land just for pissing me off while out rabbit shooting.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Yes to that Rushy and they also dont like 308 and 300 Win mags going off at the same time when they follow us deer hunting. It tends to shut them up rather permanently and quickly...
