We down to 6 mallards that might mean I might get a bag limit
how the fuck do they justify 6 ??when drought prone hawkes bay has 10 and taranaki the same ??
wgtn region probably has more waterfowl safe havens, than most, that never even get counted. yet this silly shit limit are they trying to commit suicide lower limits mean less licence sales. in a great region with tons of public shooting areas are they mad sad or just plain incompetent at their jobs??

Limit dropped and still only one month for ducks. Better not be charging $90

    Just looked it up, $91
that works out to 9 buks a duck in your nieghboring regions.
deducdt 38 buks and tell them thats what its worth despite the other hunting avaliable

I believe it was mooted for next year, to give people a chance to gather the required information / equipment etc necessary to rear and release.

The first year I reared pheasants, I wish I had started to think about it 12 months earlier, as I was in such a rush etc.

Exactly, I think numbers are good or at least normal, many people I know will have limited out by 7am on mallards which surely means the limit is too low, If there are so few ducks then how is this possible
