Could trap some between some bread crumbs ! . No sorry I wouldn't have any idear how or who would have acess to do that . There was somewhere down south that where doing a release to shoot type of shoot , I'd herd they where a red leg/ chuckar cross ? . Id say they where called that so they get around fish and game regs . They would be your best bet will do some digging ? .

Could be done, we caught quail ok. But anyone selling chukor would be asking big $$$, there's plenty of people out there that want them. Partridge would be better for where you are, and they are a lot cheaper and easier to aquire. I have a few and they are very cool.

you may as well catch up and sell kiwi's as the fines would be the same.

Yeap, see a few coveys every season, numbers are slowly increasing. You should take Sillis out for a day on the hill, he would appreciate it about now.

yea, I'll give him the summons for next week.

    a couple of random pics.

    young hounds first chuks

    chuks bottom right of pic

    eeyore looking cool.

Not much left of the season so will have to pull my finger out.

you dont need to be fit, but it would help alot. a rabbit proof dog would be nice too.
also knowing where the birds are to start with can make your day a whole lot more productive.
I am still very much learning the ropes with these things.
