    Bugger GA. I have ripped down our old maimai and built a new one before lockdown. Still a little bit to do. Because I used mostly new timber, it has cost a bit ( including $50 dump fees for the first half of the cleanup), so I hope mine doesn't go the same way as your son's!!

    I hope to see you down there if the season goes ahead. Stay strong mate.

    There will still be an opening morning as a lot of people have ponds on there land. Dundee is bound to be down at his.
    It’s not like going bush. Although a lot of places will still be out. Some people will still be able to participate.

    I contacted the farmer whose land I cross to access my stand to ask if I could go through to peg.
    He said "access ok after lockdown ends."
    So;
    I contacted Eastern F&G then and asked about the legality and security of my peg.
    .A. -"provided you have purchased a full season licence for this coming 2020 season then your peg from last season will remain valid if you cannot access it."

    I’m still hopeful of a normal opening weekend but don’t be surprised if our duck shooting in Auckland Waikato region consists of queens birthday weekend if at all.

    yes correct....if some go out and get stuck in....there will be a serious backlash....NOT ALLOWED to go hunting means not allowed to go hunting...pretty simple really.
