Was out deerstalking today and heard plenty of shots being fired from the neighboring properties. No luck with the deer. Might have been better to try a bit further into the bush to find some deer who weren't spooked by all those shots haha

Back after spending most of the day out. Ducks very high and even the rain didnt bring them down. Numbers of ducks seen are down on last year. Two high ducks shot at in despiration , nothing in the bag. On the whole a crap opening day.

Holy shizzit, you guys are lucky down there . I spent all day at the mouth of the Makarau River on the Kaipara and got 1. That's one, singular, certainly not 100! Not going out tomorrow, save the petrol and do lawns or something worthy.

well was out on the door at 6am, have a little setup in between 2 maize paddocks (normally shoot on a family pond in the bay of plenty). decided to go a bit harder this year and buy some camo gear and upgraded from the old sxs to a nice pump and got one of those spinner winner ducks. WELL ducks were around but 50,000 feet high, plenty of shooters around though keeping them moving, sadly they wern't interested in coming down to look at my setup, sadly my kill was 2 annoying MAGPIES that just wouldnt piss off!!!!

We had a pretty good day. We all got our limit of parries (10). I only got 2 mallards though. Very few around. No spoonies seen and only a few teal.

Fish and chips and super 15 now.

I hope tomorrow brings a few mallards
If my work annoys me, I cull them

Wrapped up the day limited out at 147 birds. Stoked as.

Will be massive night tonight and back into it tomorrow!

    Good stuff Josh.
Our limit is 10 thats why we target the greenheads to stretch the day out.
What is the limit down there in Southland 50?
