they are no trouble to shoot if you have access to where they like to land naturally.
a hand full of silhouettes and a camo net over your legs and just dont move a muscle when they are in site

they are also on the "pest list" so you can shoot them with anything anytime of year
my best is two with one shot with the 223

they may be no trouble to shoot....but can be very hard to fool into coming into range
personally for me its stalk and try to get into range then run closer and let rip.....or do same in dingy..gets exciting trying to hold tiller and shoot plus look out for rocks on bottom..my best effort was five from 6 rounds. getting under them once they have taken off is another option in boat..but man they fly fast... very occasionally you will get lucky and be under a flight line when on dry land..that is much fun.

That's probably not what they mean by goose shooting. You're never going to shoot a decent number stalking them or chasing them in a boat and unloading a single magazine in their direction...

Depends how much they have been hunted some can be pretty wary... Agree that getting access is the first hurdle.

Spend time around public lakes near Huntly with a pair of binos and work out the flight lines and time of day they head into the lake, make a plan from there.
