    parries are easy

    well so its said.
but today i managed to make it look not just difficult but bloody near impossible.
arrived at pozzy bout half six,ish to find team of 4 on spot where birds were sitting.
bugger but no biggy ,plenty of room and with only a 5 bird limit i can live off their scraps.
they drop the odd bird or 2 while im setting up sweet as my turn soon.
i watched a 3 bird flight go in to them they drop two and throw 5 shots at the survivor.
i smile inwardly and proceed to miss said bird 3 times f...u...k.
oh but theres worse to come i miss singles, 3,s bigger groups in the front, behind, on the side.
i shot so shite well i shot olympic medal shite.
fortunatly i shot so badly i think i missed them all bar maybe one clean.
everything i could do wrong i did.
short stroking the remy forgetting to pump at all.
not enough lead not shooting early enough, not planting my hoof where i want to shoot to have enough room to swing.
i stayed till ten and was so embarrassed i only waved to the foursome as the left with thier gear and limits.

OH WELL ANOTHER BLOODY DAY TOMMOROW AND THE REST OF THE SEASON
NO USE CRYING OVER MISSED PARRIES MY GRANNY USED TO SAY.
    : BUT EVEN SO
i was crying to much for pics unless you enjoy pics of sfa

Reminds me of the time I spent a whole day in a muddy ditch, enjoying the pissing rain for two parries which I knocked over and then flew off as I went to collect them

yup, steel shot. i didn't do my part, but pretty sure they would have stayed down if i had been using lead. they probably went off to die somewhere slowly which doesn't make me feel great.

    it happens mb
at least now even tho i dont use the 12 anymore the steel my mates use is a far cry from that cheap nasty shit we were pushed into early on.
the lack of forethought and the wrong info by people who were EXPERTS didnt help either.
but the stuff available now is a far cry from that early fiocchi crap and the b&p 32 gram gun killers.
hopefuly i,l get to try the federal 20 gauge upland steel in the near future on parries.

Had some cheap (S and B?) ammo years ago that would gum up the entire action after very few rounds and sometimes gave off smoke like a black powder gun, well, almost.

if its thier early steel sold thru h&f read c404s comments.
thats exactly what it did to me and a mates gun at the time.
even tho c404,s talking about a different companys ammo

Or just stop shooting ducks. Just let them propagate all over the land, like one of Jehovah's plagues on Egypt.
and give fed farmers the excuse they need to start poisoning them on crops cos we aint doin our part ??
    not fuckin likely.

went for a rematch at lake elly today but after the 4th tree across the road between rakaia and coes ford.
i decided it was to dangerous to risk ending up under a large pine or three.

Hmmm-saw a few parries in paddocks coming back from the coast-they said to say hi. your frustration is shooting mine was driving -truck jacknifed trailer on otira -a local wc carrier T Croft driver had to reverse all the way down the bloody otira gorge fully laden with hay and tow the sodding trailer up the gorge. held up traffic+++++++++++for nigh on an hour.
this coupled with inevitable roadworks meant my journey from grey to CHCH almost doubled.
worst -stopped at springfield dunnies for a screaming slash -3busloads of chinee&?german tourists qued up using them.one fat prick came out shaking his head -no wonder -iwalked into the most wretched biological odour ive smelt for a fucking long time. dunno what hed eaten or drunk but it werent a tasty morsel.
cam baCK TO MOTHERS CAR TO FIND CHINEES LEANING ON IT!!!!! fucking lucky they werent a few short on their tour as i gave em a verbal and shot through. Who do they think they are FFS.
