Any high bridges seem too have a few roosting under them,preferably not a road bridge.

No worries, nothing is guaranteed in hunting. There are heaps (although not thousands) living in the hedges around rolleston. I did find a good field at the beginning of the duck season but it was only a block away from town so I wasn't comfortable shooting it. Also heaps around ellesmere.
