    Best surfcasting & wharf fishing south of Auckland ?

    Other than the Coromandel, what are good fishing towns south of the big smoke / Covid zone ?

    Even better if it has some decent wharf fishing as well ?

    kawhia......as a young man all I wanted to do was sit in wharf and catch herrings....many a summers day and night was spent there,hooked a kingy for about 10seconds off there too.
