    Bloody nice to get out.

So decided to make my own Hawaiian spear just to be different, finished up and thought right time for a day trip.
A quick call to a mate and with partners in tow we were off to Akaroa for the day. Arrived just out side of Wianui and down to the water.
Absolutely mint day, no wind, a bit of sun and all of about 2 meters visibility

Spent about 3hrs in the water and didn't see a single fish over 10cm but we managed a few Paua so i'm a happy man.

Yep it is a Pro-Dive one Big Foot. She's bloody good in terms of vision and really comfortable but I tend to like to equalise quickly as I go down by squeezing my nose and blowing which I cant do in this mask! I tried the cheaper pro-dive one with the silicone nose piece but it pressed on the bridge of my nose and was painful after a short time.

Keen as savage. Got a couple of local spots that are worth a look. No where near a guru through just a Keen as amateur!!

Mean as photos that place looks fishy as. Maybe it gets a bit of a work out or try it when the tide is in a bit and the weed is floating.Should be some crays amongst the weed. Looks like a beaut spot all the same.

    Nice one
I used to break open a couple of kina and sit back a bit and wait for the fish to come in, then Kapow You can even take them a bit to a likely spot to set up your ambush
