Good question some massive fish jumping but try & catch them usually most commen bait is prawns or shrimp ...there cooked so work that one out or lures anything silver, pink or red but that said soft baits are getting popular as well...been pretty quite on the fish front not many cought but they are there.
Also surprisingly there are good shoals of whaitbait going past & cockabullys so there is natural bait for them
Are all those campervans fishos or tourists?

Yeap, both were released as with most of her fish. Some might say the canals are "like shooting fish in a barrel" but she set out with a goal to get a 30lb salmon and a decent rainbow and brown and it's taken her a fair while to build up the knowledge and time on the water to make it happen.
She now works for high country salmon on one of the farms so an intricate knowledge of the biology within the canals has probay helped her fishing heaps, pretty proud of her I reckon she should guide but doesn't have the confidence
