    @jono7 I use naturals year round so cant say if glo bugs will produce or not but there are a few still running/spawning so they may work.

    The condition of the trout is why I posted that picture

    It's a Brown trout from a North Canterbury high country lake caught this week.
    All the fish were in excellent condition and very thick through the body and fat to the base of the tail.


    It must have been a kind winter in there.
    I landed 15 trout in 2 short days of fishing.
    The ones I took were all in similarly good condition.

    I did land 5 small rainbows as well in another lake.
    Very stroppy and all around 1 pound so I didn't take any of them.
    But would have loved too have eaten one for a change

    Can't quiet see inside the mouth.Blackish inside mouth salmon, white for trout.
