Just getting started into trout fishing, at the moment collecting all the gear I need. I picked up these spin lures but I want replace the treble hooks with singles after losing a lure while practicing my casting down at the local creek while fishing for carp. Does anyone know how to get the treble off without cutting the eye? I'd like to keep the hook.

Went and had a look at Hakanoa lake in Huntly after work, no luck, can't see why any fish would live in that rust coloured water, maybe koi? Tried lake Puketirini last sunday but too many people swimming, jet skiing and boating
