That is a memory for life.

We have just got home and given that fish a weigh up. It went 9 & 3/4 pd gutted and gilled. (68cm)

My mother has a brown trout mounted that was caught by her in the pomahaka river when I was 7 years old. It is one of my great childhood memories that fish. It went 9 & 3/4 pd whole.

Her fish has held the family trout record for 42 years but it has now been broken by my 7 year old. I can't tell you how special that is for both me and her.

    Amazing !!
