Crate transport options from Tauranga to Dunedin

    Hi everyone,
I’ve got a marlin shoulder replica I need to get transported from Tauranga to Dunedin. I’m getting quoted stupid prices.
Do any of you have contacts or know anyone who does backloads?
The size of the crate will be 1300x1200x1200 =1.87m2
    Any info appreciated .
    Cheers
    Cory

Use Findatruckload - it's how a lot of truckies organize their backloads.

I got stag head mounted from Taumarunui to timaru in commercial horse truck. The pet bus may be another option.they both travel length of country and often have spare room.

Try Conroys moving, they move house lots and given your dimensions you could slip it in on a house load container/ truck load with a bit of spare room. That or
I’d try any local furniture moving company, it’s just a box from a-z so long as long you pack it yourself , well padded I’m sure it will arrive safe and sound.

Conroys are only my first suggestion because they come to my place of work with enough staff to get the job done ,the rest turn up with one or two blokes expecting that we will “ give em a hand” , the first couple of times we did , now the local boss thinks it’s a give me …ask around

Cubic volume cost hey? I guess you're not running in the back load direction up country. What would be a option is getting hold of the rental outfits that do light trucks, campers etc and see if anyone is having to move one down country for whatever reason and see if they will cover your costs down country. That way its only costing you a plane ticket up...

transfercar.co.nz is the one, the website works better on desktop, you can just hover over the pick up location and it shoots little lines to the destinations. I have used them many times. Works well.
