I agree with your first and last scenarios. This reel is an OEM, I bought it one night before fishing trip for my wife since she likes fishing but do `t have much skills with bait caster reel and I do `t have much experience neither of using spin reel for light lure fishing. I used spin reels for many years, but seldom use it in stream with light lures. Thank you. Buying OEM product is like a block box, maybe will get something good with very cheap price.
