Cold SE wind meant tucking in close to the coast today, out fishing with a neighbour in his boat. Three gurnard, 2 that went 44cm, 2 spikey dog and one southern sail fish.

Beautiful part of the coast, crystal clear water and a good few, if cold, hours on the water. Perfect Saturday finish with a cold beer orctwo back on the beach.

    Cheers FBD

someones looking...is the only one that MIGHT stop me...and then only if I was in a good mood.
my Aunty was a lovely Nga puhi lady...she was sitting on beach having a feed of oysters and fisheries officer asked her what she was doing.... well he got told...probably very politely knowing Aunty...she was having a feed of oysters....and would move on when had done so....he knew when was beaten and walked away.

    So this happened yesterday
First time chasing bluefin, we lost one (pulled hook) after 1.5 hrs fight.
Then managed to hook this one at 2:30pm, ended up fighting him for 5 hours into the night.
Estimate at 150kg over 2m long.
    So stoked!!
