Sorry folks only took one photo and this was it.

Good morning on the water. Only managed 2 snapper. 1was 8lb off the longline. Mate got a real nice 15pd on on his baitrunner.

Lost a few hooks to big sharks.... livie under a ballon got eaten twice by something with plenty of go in it and looking at the slashed trace had sharp teeth

Livie on the bottom got some attention too. Big xos grayboys which we ended up cutting off at the boat.

A few gurnard rounded out the morning, one of which was caught by the younng fella on a sabiki. He also got some nice big mackerel which we kept for the smoker.

It was a busy little boat but tonnes of fun

Out for a flounder drag this morning with my Dad and my Son.
Very weedy with the high water Temps and big tides at the moment but the flounder are still there and good size.
Tonnes of little mullet busting up the surface in the shallows and quite a few rays about feeding on the surface on something.

After work dive with @stingray yesterday...sorting a pick up time was made difficult because he had left his phone at home.
Got that sorted picked him up at dive shop....newly serviced gear how good but his card was in his phone.
Got that sorted of to his place load up and off.. "have ya got this that and such and such?"
Nup loop back to his and get such and such.
Finally all sorted we launched on the high, the local fauna at the ramp was pretty good and Joe wasted no time in getting naked to get wetsuit on...I held off expecting some heavy chop outside but it was mint.
Dropped him on a new spot but it was shit, headed off to some known cray spots dropped him on one mark anchored on another nearby and I suited up and swam into a shallow spot I had found a cray in the past and yes there was one there again.
Alas multiple dives on it and it was so far back I could just barely touch it but not get a decent grab to get it out.
I left it with all its feelers and legs intact and hopefully next time it might be further out.
There were crays in residence on the deeper marks but all well educated it would seem.
We buggered off to other marks, seen a pod of dolphins with their young.

Dropped anchor on another known mark and I swam in shallow for an explore...no butters seen...shot a couple of kahawai probably pushed in from the dolphins and found a small patch of paua, maybe 30 of em none bigger than 100mm....they just don't grow to legal size in this area but cool to see them all the same.
No crays on that mark so back to old faithful spot, drop Joe in...he got lost in 8m vis and prospects around the area and managed to snag a couple of keepers.
Beautiful evening on and in the water and caught up with @fatbellydog on the retrieve.
Let's do it all again soon !

All I will say is dont go diving with a boatman that throws your gear at you……as it seems to sink and is hard to find

Then when you request the location of your local cray hole he waves a hand and points into the sun and says over there …but the diving gods blessed me and I found a few handy crays.

The water is almost to warm but the clearest I’ve seen in years, the undersize crays are moulting and I’ve never seen so many, but the keepers are pretty cagey tucked well back in the holes and caves.

Another wonder afternoon / evening doing what I really love, underwater !

Managed a feed , tits up a couple of sitters , chased the big buck rather than take the keeper…all in all a pretty amateurish effort on my behalf ….hope VC will take me out again…please

Another nice land based trevally on a soft bait. $80K on a boat was wasted!

I think he is off to the tackle shop to get some light weight soft baiting gear
