Just for fun. While my interest in fishing has temporarily waned in small way, thought I'd just enjoy a day out on the water, taking in the sights and eating fresh fish.

Had a wee fish in the bay as there were scattered small work ups all over the place lots and lots of sign on the bottom we got 2 small snapper kahawai and a gurnard. Dropped the guys at the jetty and was tootling out to put the boat on the mooring and spied a big workup on the otherside of the bay so hammer down over I go.
7” zman on a 1.5oz jig head to get down to bottom fast through the Kahwahi second cast took off stripping line like nobody’s business. Thinking bloody shark so cranked up the drag zzzzzzzz still it went anywayplayed to the top holy smoke a monster snap 82cm. Filled the fish bin with water popped it in raced back to jetty for a few photos and i got it back in water and it swam away.Name: IMG_4379.jpeg
