There's no trout in the Hake, half of Auckland already beaten you to that. I could point you to a reasonable area though .

Maybe over summer Mr D . Throw some gear in the wagon & head down for a few days .

Those blimmin Aucklanders I might just have to make a trip down to the haumarana stream mouth in Rotovegas one day to flick a spinner in there, don't have any fly gear anymore so can't go to the awahou to fish

YOU CAN GET A DAY LICENCE!?.?

One of the reasons I have never caught a trout properly is because there is no bloody way i am paying over 100bucks for one trout i probably won't even manage to catch!

How much is a day licence?

Been a tough cuppla weeks on the water managed a 1pound rainbow today that was released and a smaller one early last week.

A pic after cyclone Lusi, she dished it out upstream but we got none.

The bale is still in the river no way of retrieving it and don't how far upstream it came from.

Surely you and the boys could roll the bugger to the far side Dundee.

I think helicopter would be the only way as there are steep banks either side.

Nah just roll the bugger out of the river to that low ledge at two o'clock from the bale. Then you can break it open and feed it out.
