    Marlborough Sounds Fishing

Family trip next Xmas, wondering what’s the fishing like. Currently looking for a drive to Bach. Heard the fishing is hard and there are a few rules that us Taranaki crew will need upskilling on
    Cheers

Drivable from Picton within an hr and half. Haven’t got a place locked in yet. So Kenepuru, Te Mahia, Havelock are our current thoughts.

Rodger...to be fair that gives you huge range of area. So cod season will be open , gurnard should be on the chew , snapper definitely. Let me know once batch booked ..big difference between inner sounds fishing and outer sounds ..reefs tides and targeting fish. Will try to help

Roger that, cheers. If you know anyone with a mint batch/spot that isn’t already booked, let me know.

And what does cod season imply? Size, numbers, ect..
