Slipped away yesterday afternoon, home now. Taught a few worms how to swim, they were ungrateful sods and kept wiggling as the "safety line" was attached. My good wife landed a nice pan sized brown, might go 2 lb using worms...we did close range release on three eels all in 10-15 lb meter long bracket....cut line as close to them as allowed,so not ideal for them with hook still in place but no trailing nylon to get trapped.better than hauling them out n dumping them. I caught small fiesty rainbow same size as wife's brown.on spinner just before dark. Shot rabbit last evening for dogs dinner and big hare this morning for my chickens,it's been boned out and simmering away on stove with some mash for them tomorrow and following days...they go nuts over it. Dogs are tuckered out after romp and swim yesterday and yip you could say our souls have been refreshed.
