    Copy that sir...I only have like 97 of those so I'll buy more. Dang nice fish!! Our bigger perch are 8-10" that's why I asked

    European perch (P. fluviatilis) as found in NZ grow much bigger than the yellow perch (P. flavescens) in North America.

    Ken oath they are.
    My biggest landed in a lake near Dunedin is 4lb 12oz and I lost an absolute horse that I estimated at nearer 6 than 5.
    My biggest in the UK was only 3 odd.
    NZ is a perch fishing Mecca

    Nz is probably an Eel fishing meca as well, just dont tell everyone

    wish we had more of them in south canterbury, theres some small ones hanging around a few creeks in timaru but its not many

    Try fishing at Centennial Park, there are some good size Perch in there.

    i've caught a few from it but seems to be none recently
