Yup VC I tuned in with great interes all I can say I was fucking disgusted with the amount of wastage that has been created by dumping unwanted fish to avoid a heavy penalty.

I would love to see a reduction of catch from rec and com. Not sure how many of you fish out of Tauranga, but it has really turned to shit.

Its an unfortunate bycatch if you will of the cms.

If there is any change to the current system it will be on advice from you guessed it. The commercial sector.

Ironic isn't it ,as far as most people seem to be thinking they're the cause of the decline in the fish stocks in the inshore fishery. So why don't we justly apportion blame & penalty reduction were its due & for the common good. Not for the benefit of the chosen few.

Well it's clearly time for the public to revolt and rally for support and unity to demand change and accountability from parliament like we used to prior to the '90s. Obviously we're all waiting on tender hooks to see what Guy, National and MPI will come back with, but if they do need to be voted out in 2014, I fear the idiotic repetitious NZ public will vote sleazy Cunliffe and his Labour misfits in, again, rather than actually demanding a REAL change for the better. I don't yet know which party or mix that government should be, but I am adamant for the country I want, it ain't Labour and certainly not snake career poly Cun@lipssss as PM. Our options are super slim and we seem to be desperate for a moderate new centre party with enough quality candidates to win the support of the masses, yet I'm not seeing ANY party even looking close to having that credibility.
    Our future:
Labour = State dependency and massive bureaucracy (high tax)
National = Corporate corruption and loss of civil liberty and quality lifestyle

Guys we need to try hard to keep the politics out of this topic if you do not want to see it locked out by the caretakers (please observe the no politics to be discussed rule). All we can do now is wait and see what MPI come back with and I for one am not looking forward to it at all.
