I used to as well and got sick of people telling me what I should like. If you don't like it, you don't like it. As mentioned above, I can't stand raw kahawai. I prepared some kahawai sushi for my family once. Wife and son smashed it, I was literally gagging!

It changed for me on a camping trip where was charged with gathering food for several families and could only catch kahawai. It was breaded kahawai burger for dinner or salad. I went with the burger and it was great. Cured!
