Current boat is an Extreme 650 with 175 Suzi 4-stroke. Hull is 2007, motor 2011. Had it for about 6 yrs now, put a new trailer under it a couple years ago. Love it for fishing and spearing, with a few overnighters to Barrier and Mayor. Starting to do a bit more deep dropping and game fishing out of it.



The open array radar might be a bit over the top, but I work in the industry so she has a ‘bit’ more gear in it than the average trailer boat

Hey @nzspearo, you don't happen to know someone that could help me out with some simrad gear questions?
I just want to make sure I've got my setup setup correct, and any thing else I could do/get. And I have a annoying problem around linking a evo3 to my phone for Internet for updating the head unit etc.... that I cannot workout....

@Beaker if he can't go back through the thread & there a couple of blokes in the game ,bit like winning the Lottery having someone to give unbiased info on the Black Art Of boat electrics. Nice rig

@Woody I thought it was a Kingfisher in the back ground of another photo you posted a while ago ,great boats ,we towed one behind our "Big Bitch" for years down to Stewart Island a couple of times a year & have been caught in some big water with it ,that it handled well .

The 10 foot parkercraft that was my grandad's.

Used it quite a bit with first a temperamental 2hp then a 8hp.....small leaky unstable and unsafe but it got me out fishing.
Still in service but as a rowboat only...it's too thin to be made to plane anymore.

My own build specialist low draft estuary netting boat.


Super stable,super low draft was perfect for what I designed if for but couldn't justify keeping it once they banned setnetting flounder here.

Times are looking tight though as far as engine supply goes. Got told the other day that Yamaha (if i recall correctly) are no longer going to supply outboards for repower. All new engines will be sold to a new hull.
