I ordered a couple of these for the yak. Went for the 2.1m baitcasting rod. Unfortunately they sent spin rods. Figured they would pack small enough to go in a secured bag and less likely to get lost going turtle. Cheap enough that I wont cry if I loose them.

Will try a couple of cheap overhead reels to start with.

I bought one of these for my Aussie trip last year

Blown away by the quality, IM7 graphite, Fuji guides and reel seat, slightly longer than I would like but really good value!

Yip. Same one. Only I opted for the cork handles. The finish is right up there and it feels so nice.

Swim to the bottom. Shoot them in the face.
