Anyone tried using a real-time underwater fishing camera specifically for ledger rig/flasher rig style bottom fishing to say 30M and finding cracks etc to place cray pots? They seem to fall into two classes the cheapies eg or the more dedicated expensive stuff eg
I fish mostly for blue cod inshore and would like to experiment with catching moki and greenbone on a rod and also increase my rate of trumpeter hits by trying berley and shellfish baits. It would be great to see what is going on.
I only have a cheap (Lowrance hook2 4x) sounder) which can't be relied upon to do much more than give depth and bottom profile info.
Anyone have any experience using one in NZ?
