Up before daylight to pull traps out, back home to cook them up so missus could take them down to her family on the coast, hope they send me back the same weight in king prawns . Fresh bait did wonders

the best bait by far we found when I was a young fella was fresh duck guts...eg we shot ducks plucked and gutted them down at creek and the koura would go nuts over the fresh guts in creek....the bloodier the better to bring them out.man its been far too many years since Ive tucked into a feed of them.
I have used the odd duck at times when not being able to get roo meat, I cut them up whole and put a quarter in each net, they go ape shit over it. Fresh shot roo is much easier to get hold of, and if desperate I have been know to cut up road killed roos.
Awesome bro! I just caught a feed of yabbies my self for a feed! Have you tried the trick whee you put out the middle fin on the tail and it removes the poo tube ? I made a video on yabbies

Yeah, do that trick with the shit shute when just taking tails and claws, I don't like doing that much as you lose a lot of flavour by not cooking the head with the rest of them, and the tail meat also tends to try out. Its good for when you have a big catch of several hundred and want to cook them in a stew type feed. I'll watch your video later.
