4x4 track conditions - Jollies Pass Road - Hamner

    Hi all,

Any idea if a standard hilux\prado on all terrains would make it over Jollies pass road in May ? I have a Molesworth trip booked and road closures in the region are making it the only access road in..

DOC are suggesting that its a "rough road" and need a 4x4, be keen to know if any locals know if a standard hilux etc will be ok or a more serious 4x4 required

    cheers

Piece of cake. Unless you got a snow storm. Not sure if it gets serious snow that early.

There is one creek crossing near the molesworth end, the Subaru legacy that came with (yeah it is that easy) had water touching the bumper (mid wheel on the LandCruiser) imagine that can come up a fair bit with heavy rain though (heavy rain in North Canterbury....)
