Thompson's Track road has been fenced off on BoP end but Thompson's Track Waikato side has not, so one can still access the Kauritatahi area, and land administered by EV.

Wondered if anyone had heard any further about this?
DOC was saying there would be a review end of Sep but I suppose no news is news enough
Was thinking of a recce up the Waikato side as mentioned but just wanted to be sure of what's closed

From the NZDA BOP Facebook Page:

All previously closed central Kaimai tracks and the closed huts are now open, except the Wharawhara Tramway Track and the Te Rereatukahia Hut Track from the Wharawhara to the hut track junction - a few more months to wait for them as more testing to be done in that area.

Awesome cheers @Bryan, not on Facebook so wouldn't have seen that. Much appreciated.
Weather is all over the shop at the moment but keen to go have a look around sometime soon

No worries @veryfuturistic it appears that all tracks are open except for the two that run off the end of Wharawhara Road (by Katikati), so anything from the Waikato side will be sweet for a mission
