    I made these up at the weekend out of scrap timber. Daughter wants to do some filming for a school project at night. Might try some on strips of cut down pvc pipe for tent lights.

    Cheap and cheerful.

    I use these for hut lighting:

    Only about 60mm diam and very light. You just need a socket to plug them into and make up a lead with switch. Dead easy.

    This 7W one puts out a lot of light, two would fully do say a 5x3m hut IMO

    THe outdoor connection Light bar kit is our favorite, as it has all the bits you need in one small bag.

    Light bar kit perfect for tents or gazebos and has all the bits and adapters to be powered form multiple sources;
    Outdoor Connection Power Strip LED Light Bar Kit

    otherwise there are these as well

    LED Light Strip
    Outdoor Connection LED Light Strip 600mm

    LED Light Strip
    Outdoor Connection LED Light Strip 1200mm

    LED light bulb
    Outdoor Connection Firefly LED Bulb Chain

    There are also a great range of these types of kits on TradeMe and Outdoor Connection - Camping & Outdoor Equipment

    Hope that helps
