Thread: Track creation in online topo map

I am looking for some advice on what app / interface to use to easily create tracks.

At the moment I am using the topomap.co.nz feature that allows you to overlay a KML or GPX file, but creating that file is cumbersome to put it mildly. I am using the co-ordinates feature in topomap to find the location for a specific point on the map, and then manually copy-and-paste those into a file that I then format into a KML.

What I want is something like the Garmin software where you can click on several points and for it to give you a file with those co-ordinates... kinda like what you can do inside Garmin Mapsource

Any suggestions appreciated.

I think wams.org.nz has that functionality built in.

Looks like using Google Earth, you can draw a path, with as many waypoints as you like, then save that path as a KML file. May do what you want?
