Google "Ben Mcloud Station weather" for the High Country

I use weatherwatch.co.nz as they also have a newish rural tab amongst other things seems to be pretty accurate so far this winter.

At this time of year you can also use skifield forecasts, I have a look Ohau for Sth Canterbury to give me an idea of snow levels and how much snow has fallen recently. May not be so effective where they make snow.

Have a look at this. You can change the station site (unit) at the top of the page to get as close to your chosen area as you can.
