Ban Scalping on the Forum Poll

Auctions are not scalping.

Not that I said that auctions are scalping was the case but they are if projectiles are purchased with no intention to use but with intention to resale for financial gain based on market scarcity. Go search elds on trademe one auction is listed at start price of $150 and a buy now of $250 that I would call. Both are well over retail meaning they will only sell if they are over retail.

Whereas the other listing is a start price about retail and are willing to let the market decide even if it means selling for there actual retail value. I have much less issue with the latter.

If the price is crazy, someone will point it out. It has happened many times before...

If someone is desperate and really wants to buy at that price, fill your boots.

"Banning" people for willing seller willing buyer is a silly idea, and I suspect the admins have far better things to do with their lives than to police yet another issue on here...

Added grammar. My point being that banning something on moral grounds doesn't make it leftwing/communist. People on either side of an argument can have either opinion. If your going to call something communist make sure its actually communist. Also labelling things with extreme labels is a pretty red-party/green-party (think this "hate speech" debarcle going on).
Apologies for the slightly heated replies I hold no personal disdain towards anyone but tying me to communism/leftwing ideas is a quick way to get under my skin.

Anyway I proposed the rule as I thinks its morally reprehensible and has no place on the forum which is supposed to be a community.

It doesn't really matter what I think as an individual anyway hence the poll. It's admins/forum owners call in the end.

It was just a proposal after all, I'm done with the discussion and will let the poll speak for itself.

I get called a right wing nut from one side and a communist by the other goes to show I'm probably more centered than you might think. I dont see the difference. To be honest the fact you see everything as communism tells me we wont ever have a meaningful discussion.

"Communist" is the new social media catch word and mostly used out of context. Most who use the term wouldn't know what communism is.

No matter what the political bent or persuasion, society still requires some sort of regulating. "No rules" is a fools paradise.

But I don't think there needs to be a rule about pricing on here.

There are ways and means of using the Trade Me auction system, I use their ways and means all the time...what's your Trade Me user name so I can blacklist you just to be on the safe side of things.
