I bought a Vortex Golden Eagle scope second hand.
Subsequently I dropped the rifle onto a concrete floor.
It landed on the top turret of the scope driving the turret into the scope.
I was shattered.
This was on a Friday.
I emailed Vortex in the US. They replied over the weekend with instructions to contact the Australian Dealer.
The Australian Dealer replied on the Monday to courier the scope the the NZ Agent.
Damaged scope was couriered on the Tuesday.
Two weeks later (Tuesday) a brand new Vortex Golden Eagle Scope arrived at my door as per the Worldwide Lifetime No Fault Guarantee.
That's my experience of a company honouring their guarantee.
There is warranties and warranties also. I had a scope , can't remember brand now, where the 'lifetime' warranty turned out to be 10 years, that being the 'lifetime ' of the scope as far as the company was concerned. Burris and Vortex have a version of the 'forever' warranty that can't be beat.
Shame I've had to use it a few times now though....
