Well said mate ,,,as above appreciate yours and all the mods and admin team keeping this forum what it is ,would'nt be an easy beast to run
DONT BE A FOOL INDENTIFY YOUR TARGET BEFORE YOU PULL
In all aspects of life we are beginners at some stage (whether it be hunting, driving a car or whatever). The important thing is to accept that, and operate within your skill/experience level. If you do that, your efforts will be appreciated and as your experience grows so will your abilities. Keep it up.

Experience. What you get just after you needed it.
To err is human. Don't sweat it.
I wonder if AI would ever admit it's wrong?
Keep up the good work dannyb
Not sure what you are specifically issuing an apology for, but I didn't see anything dramatic.
Anyway - thanks to you and any other mods for the work you do.
Everyone is entitled to their own stupid opinion
Apology accepted but I'm not sure it is required. When we join this forum we are asked to read the rules which are pretty straight forward. If these rules were broken there were warnings about potential consequences. If you break the rules accept the consequences and don't complain about it ! If you'd rather play by different rules play somewhere else !
If you have a garden and a library, you have all you need. Oh, and a dog, and a rifle
@dannyb. Mate, I've only been here a couple of years, but what I've read you and the rest of the mods are doing a first class job. I'm with the Duck, a spades a spade, call it if you need to. No need to apologize for doing your job.
As per RugerM77's comment above, you guys do a bloody great job, and while it may not be appreciated by some, it certainly is by most. I couldn't bloody do it! You already had my respect for the effort I've seen you put in DB, and you just got a lot more from this post. The art of admitting wrongdoing (whether a wrong was done or not, which is debatable) is a dying one.
Easy for people to get out of shape from behind the keyboard, and not be aware of bigger pictures. Rules are rules, and I for one (a relatively new one) am thankful that you and the smurf-blue admin/mod team enforce them. 99% of posts/threads seem to get on just fine without having to breach the rules.
So given its a thankless task, a massive thank to you and all the mods/admins. Bunji would be proud.
bunji likes this.
I don't think you have anything to apologize for Danny. You're only human too, don't forget.
It's a thankless task that I don't think I could do, without firing up at some stage.
You're better off to just call it as you see it, and don't over think things I reckon.
Sweateth not, the small stuff. For a century hence no man will remember. That is me plagiarising Shakespeare.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms
Don't beat yourself up over it.
Thanks for the time you put in.
Yeah, like others have said, I think you being harsh to yourself.
I'm a fairly new member and I think this forum is pretty well run and organised,
I think you have done a great job and you did what you saw fit,
it is what it is, no apology is needed.
THANK YOU to you and all the mods, admins, contributors and whoever was involved in the forum.
Dan - have never had an issue with your moderation. Not once. As Snap says above - no apology needed.
You provide a very useful service - carry on with the good wishes of all.
Cheers Mike
