    Belmont?

I put 50 through my CMMG conversion and they shot fairly well but the CCI std were way better and half the price.

Really? I get the impression shops have it now and more of it and maybe a bit cheaper than a year ago?

I guess when Obama hands over to the next President and if its yet another Democrat like HClinton there will be yet another manufactured "panic".

I need to buy a wee bit of CCI std...its great plinking ammo.

I can't see it happening, it didn't last time other than there being less selection at times. Cci subsonic's became like gold dust for a few months.
If your just hunting and have a brick or two you will weather any ammo storm and for range use you can realistically use whatever you can find and adjust your group size expectations accordingly

I do enjoy a good panic buy.

I just use CCI standards, as they're subsonic anyway. Never really understood why they have a standard that is below the sound barrier and a subsonic variety.

I'd like to try the subs and see if they're more accurate than standards as they could be better. CCI standard and winchester subss are both about the same accuracy in my 22 but I get the odd winchester round that doesn't cycle my 10/22 so stopped buying them.

Cci subs have an effective hollow point when compared to cci std. I shoot a lot more std but use subs for hunting

I always found 22lr hollowpoints a bit of a gimmick? I've certainly not noticed any extra killing power between winchester hollowpoints and CCI standards. Can you really get much expansion happening at 1000fps (and probably in the hundreds at point of impact)? Seen one particularly poorly shot rabbit take 5 rounds from win hollows (my poor shooting). All in the vitals but no heart shots obviously.

Never bothered retrieving rounds to check so maybe i'm wrong. If it doesn't go through though, then all the energy got dumped either way.

Some seem to work better than others, never done any testing other than just getting the feeling they work better for me.
Maybe every time I shoot a bunny with solids and it doesn't go down instantly I'm just looking for something to blame other than my shot placement.

I have only ever recoverd perfectly mushroomed projectiles just under the skin from name brand hunting 22 ammo win being the best terminal performance in my experiance.
Round nose subs are for shooting the house cow or pig in the sty imho.
