    I have a stainless T3 in 300wm. Replaced the plastic stock with a Boyds laminate and limb saver and am very happy with the performance.
    I usually run 165gn Speer BTSPs for >300yards and Accubonds for closer. Mostly sika, reds and pigs.
    Weighs 8.2lb ready to go which seems to work well.
    Tahrs rig sounds like a good option.
    Experience. What you get just after you needed it.

    A pal of mine swears by 208gr Amax in his Winmag.....

    Yeah I've heard of the 208g Amax being pretty good, but that was in a heavy 26" barrel... I think for me the 180g will be the go based on the info I have received...
